Abstract -An integrated standardized sliding-mode contoller for bidirectional switching converters is described. The proposed circuit is suitable for large-signal applications and can be used in a wide class of dc-to-dc switching converters. As a result, robustness and fast dynamic response versus supply, load and parameter variations is obtained. The design approach is based on current-mode techniques, using current conveyor blocks and a high-speed current comparator. An integrated realization of the controller has been simulated at transistor level by means of HSPICE for a 0.8 mm CMOS technology, showing proper operation. The full-custom layout of the circuit is in progress.
